STOVE TOP BREW GUIDE
How to make Chennai Filter Coffee using the stove top style percolator?
STEP 1
Fill the lower chamber of the Stovetop with filtered water – water level should sit just below the notch inside. Use hot water to save some time.
STEP 2
Insert the Stovetop basket and fill with Chennai Filter Coffee ground coffee, then lightly press the coffee down with one finger until the basket is full and an even surface is made. Make sure to remove any coffee grind on the edge of the basket.
STEP 3
Tightly screw the upper part of the Stovetop Espresso Maker to the base and select a burner size to fit, so that the entire bottom of the base sits on the burner. Set to a medium heat – do not set to high as this may burn the coffee.
STEP 4
Place the whole pot on the burner until the water boils and coffee begins to come out of the center post in the top chamber. To avoid a bitter brew, remove the Stovetop from the burner before all the coffee has come to the top chamber – don’t worry, the residual heat will make sure to push the last of the coffee up after you've removed the pot.
